Heather Miller is always a pleasure to read. She draws fans into stories with familiar settings and circumstances, then turns the tables in terrifying ways in an instant.

Miller delivers a dark collection of stories about thieves and murderers, strange creatures and horrific happenings, stories of ghosts and ghouls and things that go bump in the night. These horrifying tales are best shared around the campfire or by candlelight. You will be unnerved and unsettled, and absolutely frightened. Heather Miller has gathered together thirteen spine-tingling stories, and takes great pleasure in sharing them with you. These are the tales her grandmother told her...

Each of these short stories was selected by Miller from among the folklore, tall tales, and bedtime tales her own Grandmother told her. They are all good stories - from beginning to end. Readers will have a hard time putting down the collection, and may finish in one sitting.

It was great to learn a bit more about the author through the autobiographical stories. Perhaps that’s just the mark of a great narrator, but it felt at times as if we are getting a glimpse into experiences she’s lived. Each short story was suspenseful and entertaining.

Heather Miller writes old-fashioned horror, influenced by old Gothic stories she grew up reading, and terrifying tales heard at her grandmother’s knee. She dreams of long candlelit passages and things that go bump in the night.

Her first novella, KNOCK KNOCK, released in 2021. Her second book, TALES MY GRANDMOTHER TOLD ME, arrived in 2022. Miller has penned short stories and poetry featured in various magazines and anthologies.

She lives in a century-old house (likely haunted) in a tiny town in Oklahoma. Find her online at https://heathermillerhorror.com
