In the tenth anthology which continues building Crystal Lake Publishing’s Dark Tide Book collection, readers are treated to Zombies. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say zombies are treated to the readers. Because they’re coming to get you…

There is nothing I like more than a good zombie movie! The perfect combination of an apocalypse, shambling undead horror, mysterious unknown causes, and social commentary make me smile. The only thing I like more than a good zombie movie is a great zombie book.

Included within The Dead Shall Rise (Dark Tide book 10) from Crystal Lake Publishing Editor Joe Mynhardt are three distinct departures into a world overrun by the undead.

“Zombie Diner” by Armand Rosamilia is a classic zombie story. There is rapid, nonstop action and a fast paced story. The narrative is believable enough with scenes that keep the protagonists moving. This is a good snapshot of the end of the world.

“Dance with the Dead” by Erin Louis is a fun zombie-stripper story. Tiffney is expecting to work another night at the club, but a customer goes berserk, and things take a bloody turn. Lots of tropes combine with some social commentary to round out this romp.

What would a future world look like, generations after zombies decimated the population? “Prepare Because Death is Coming” by Jay Wilburn answers the question - and then some. Dry Stretch is warned about an approaching horde of zombies - forty years after the fall of civilization. But they scoff at the news. Zombie destruction and a unique fight for survival ensue.
